Complete presentation

In 2020, I participated in the NONUMENT! symposium, where I shared my curatorial experience with the exhibition Alto Tránsito. The symposium explored decaying, destroyed, and abandoned monuments, architecture, and public spaces, reflecting on how these places evolve over time. Instead of focusing on the intentions behind their creation, the symposium emphasized the transformations these spaces undergo as they recontextualize, decaying or shifting in response to societal changes.

Alto Tránsito was a series of meetings involving six visual artists from Lima and Cajamarca, Peru, where we discussed the boundaries between change and permanence in public space. Through conversations, readings, and shared stories from our street-level experiences, we developed artworks that address the chaotic rhythm of urban life and our ability to connect as a collective body amid traffic. During the symposium, I presented my curatorial notes, documentation, and text reflecting on this collective exploration of public space.
