ANDREA ELERA
Another Arnhem was a collaborative project that emerged from the IMAE program, where we examined the experience of international students in the city. This project involved me, Lina Bravo, Tong Tianyi, and Lidia Garza, and aimed to explore how we orient ourselves in unfamiliar environments. We invited the community to participate in creating collaborative maps of Arnhem, not as fixed spaces but as dynamic ones shaped by daily interactions. These maps were meant to reflect the community’s diverse movements, encounters, and perspectives. Through this collective mapping, we envisioned a more inclusive city for newcomers. The project fostered new relationships with Arnhem, transforming the city into a place of ongoing reinvention, where everyone could contribute to its shaping.
